Asphalt 8 Airborne top 3D games for AndroidAsphalt 8: Airborne

[Price: $0.99]
Asphalt 7 was an achievement for Android gaming. It was one of the first mainstream games that was good enough to be considered more than just a simple time waster. Gameloft released the sequel, Asphalt 8: Airborne, earlier this year and it has continued the tradition that its predecessor started. It has a long campaign, dozens of high end cars to choose from, amazing graphics, addictive game play, and includes Google Play Games services. It’s the full package and one of those games that truly makes it believable that console-quality games can make it on Android.

Madden 25 top 3d games for AndroidMadden NFL 25

[Price: Free]
One genre that struggled out of the gate when it comes to mobile gaming is the sports genre. To date there are only a small handful to decent sports games and some sports aren’t represented at all. Madden NFL 25 is one of those sports games on Android that is actually very good. It features real NFL teams, multiple game modes, and a competent set of touch controls. Add to that some decent graphics and you have a winner. If you’re into football and you’re looking for a game to play, this is the one we’d recommend. It’s also the only one on this list that’s free!

Minecraft Pocket Edition - top 3D games for AndroidMinecraft Pocket Edition

[Price: $6.99]
We are well aware that Minecraft – Pocket Edition wasn’t actually released in 2013, but we felt it was worthy to be on this list again. It has retained its position as a top game in the Google Play Store for the entire year and in an industry where giants rise and fall all the time, that’s truly impressive. Everyone should be pretty familiar with Minecraft by now.You can build what you want, when you want, and it’s all done in the charming -if old school- 8-bit style graphics. It’s already a classic and we anticipate it will be a top game for a long time to come.

Riptide GP 2 top 3d games for AndroidRiptide GP2

[Price: $1.99]
It would be downright irresponsible to do a top 3D games for Android list and not include Riptide GP2. It’s not just one of the best mobile games to be released this year. It’s also just a really good game and that’s the kind of feeling you want when you’re looking for console quality in a game. Riptide GP2 is a jet ski racing game where you can compete in a variety of game modes both solo and online against others. It features breathe-taking graphics, smooth game play, and we’ll admit we’re suckers for the water-on-the-screen effect. It’s about as high quality as you can get for a game on Android and it’s highly recommended.

Dead Trigger top 3d games for AndroidDead Trigger

[Price: Free]
For our last spot we wanted to put Dead Trigger 2 but it hasn’t been released yet. Instead, we’ll plug in its predecessor, Dead Trigger. It’s a beautifully built shooter where you run around and shoot a bunch of zombies. When it comes to mowing down hordes of the undead, Dead Trigger is pretty much shares the pinnacle with Call of Duty Black Ops Zombies as the best out there. It has fun levels, good graphics, fun game play, and you get to mow down zombies. Who can’t get into that? The sequel, Dead Trigger 2, will be available some time in the coming weeks or months. Until then, the original Dead Trigger is more than capable of filling the gap.
